On July 11, 2023, at 5:00 pm, Prescott Unified School District Governing Board will vote to approve the FY 2024 budget. The following link contains the hearing notice and summary of the school district’s proposed expenditure budget.
For FY24, certified teachers and teachers on assignment will receive a 4% raise to their base pay. A 4% raise equates to an average $2,363 additional per year. The average base salary of teachers employed in FY23 (prior year) was $57,837. The average salary of all teachers employed in FY24 (budget year), is $60,200. For FY23 teacher average salary, FY23 end-of-the-year FTE total, FY23 teacher contract base amount, plus FY23 301 teacher compensation were used. For FY24 teacher average salary, FY23 end-of-the-year FTE total, FY24 teacher contract base amount, plus estimated FY24 301 teacher compensation were used. Additional revenue sources for teachers, e.g. clubs, coaching, department chair, extra revenue sources for teachers, etc., are not included in the average salaries. As hiring is not complete for FY24, the average FY24 teacher salary is an estimate.
All Other Employee Group Raises
For FY24, graded classified employees will receive a minimum 4% raise. Psychologists, OTs, PTs, SLPs, IT, directors, administration, etc. will receive a 4% raise.
