Volunteer Welcome from Superintendent
I welcome you to Prescott Unified School District, where every child, every day matters.
Volunteer assistance in schools enriches educational programs, enhances supervision of students, contributes to school safety, and strengthens out District’s relationships with the community. We are grateful for your enthusiasm and willingness to share your time and talent in support of PUSD, and hope you find it to be a rewarding experience.
Prescott Unified School District is a learning community built on a foundation of excellence that is more than a century old. PUSD provides the basic skills that every child will need to become a strong citizen, valued employee, entrepreneur or leader of tomorrow. These skills are developed and refined in a rigorous academic curriculum enhanced by music, arts, athletics, special needs services, extracurricular activities, transportation and food services.
As a comprehensive K-12 public school district, we take pride in our efforts to offer a quality, high-achieving, and accountable educational program to all students in Prescott and surrounding areas. We are an integral part of the Prescott community and are pleased to be one of the reasons families choose to live in the Prescott area. PUSD wholeheartedly agrees with Sherry Anderson, past Director of Arkansas’ Division of Volunteerism who declared, “Volunteers don’t get paid – not because they’re worthless, but because they’re priceless.” Thanks for your decision to make a lasting difference in the life of our community!
Joe Howard, Superintendent
