Class of 2019 Graduation Ceremony
The Prescott High School Class of 2019 Graduation Commencement Ceremony will be held Friday, May 24, at 7:00 pm, at our PHS Bill Shepard Field. Attendance is free to the public.
Gates to the stadium will open at 5:30 pm. Please do not attempt to enter the stadium or to save seats before this time. Any items placed in the stadium area prior to 5:30 will be removed.
Families who use the Cal Ranch parking lot on Willow Creek Road will be shuttled to the back entrance of PHS starting at 5:00 pm, and will be given a special pass to enter the stadium early.
Low cushions or legless “stadium seats” are allowed on the stadium bleachers. Camp chairs or similar seats with legs that raise the seat above the ground can only be used where they can not obstruct the view of others.
Our PHS south (lower) parking lot nearest the stadium will be reserved for those with mobility issues. Be prepared to show your handicapped parking permit. A golf cart will be available to transport limited-mobility guests to handicapped seating. One non-disabled guest will be permitted to sit with guests who cannot climb stairs, in designated handicapped seating on the track.
Other guests are encouraged to park in our other PHS lots, or legally along adjacent streets. Some nearby private parking lots may be available for a fee or for free. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Ruth Street will make their lot available for free. Please be courteous to our neighbors in all cases.
PHS graduates must report to the Ruth Street Theater by 6:30 pm. Only PHS graduates and PHS staff will be allowed in the RST, so please plan any pre-graduation photos outside.
Individual celebration of each graduate will occur at family gatherings, at our PTSA-sponsored Grad Nite, or at other venues. Our PHS Commencement Ceremony is a formal ceremony. It is a community celebration of our 2019 graduating class as a whole, not an individual celebration. Please save balloons, noisemakers, and other similar items for your individual celebrations.
Weather in May can be unpredictable. Be prepared for cool or hot weather. In case of a forecast of significant rainfall, PHS Commencement will be held in two sessions in the PHS gym, and seating will be extremely limited.
PHS Commencement will be live-streamed at https://www.youtube.com/c/BadgerMediaStudios/live
Graduates are encouraged to take advantage of 2019 Grad Nite at the YMCA from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am, run by our PTSA. They have prepared awesome games, food, entertainment and prizes, and admission is FREE for PHS grads.
