My name is Andy Fraher, and I am a proud second-generation native Prescottonian, born at Prescott Community Hospital in 1964. Growing up in Prescott, I embraced my community wholeheartedly. I was active in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Little League, and Pop Warner Football. My educational journey took me through Lincoln Elementary School, Sacred Heart School, Prescott Junior High, and Prescott High School, where I graduated in 1982. At PHS, I was a member of the National Honor Society and played baseball.
My wife and I raised our two daughters in Prescott, where they attended Abia Judd Elementary School, Granite Mountain Middle School, and Prescott High School, graduating in 2011 and 2014. Both daughters earned degrees from Gonzaga University, one in engineering and the other in special education. Both are members of the PHS Athletic Hall of Fame, for Cross Country and Track and Field.
Since 1987, I have dedicated my career to education. After graduating from Northern Arizona University (NAU) in 1987, I spent four years teaching high school and coaching. I then returned to NAU, earning a Master’s degree in Counseling in 1992. My professional experiences included roles in academic advising at Northern Arizona University and the University of Utah and as an advisor and counselor at Yavapai College. For over 20 years, I was a key member of the
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University community, where I held various positions including counselor, Director of the Center for International Programs and Services, Associate Dean of Students, and Director of STEM Outreach. I retired from Embry-Riddle in 2019, bringing to a close a fulfilling career dedicated to supporting students and advancing education.
Throughout the years my daughters attended PUSD schools, I actively volunteered, contributing to various school activities and initiatives. Currently, I volunteer with the Boys To Men program at Prescott High School, continuing my commitment to supporting and mentoring young students in our community. My career has deeply informed my approach to these issues. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, traveling, and being with my daughters and newborn granddaughter. I love attending public events in Prescott such as festivals in downtown, concerts on the Courthouse Square, and school events, which reflects my personality and commitment to our community's betterment.
I was elected to the PUSD Governing Board in 2020 and served as Board President in 2023, during which I oversaw the hiring of our current superintendent. I was re-elected to a second term on the PUSD Governing Board in 2024.

I'm a proud native of this wonderful city, having been born and raised right here. After meeting my husband at Prescott High School and graduating in 1990, we knew Prescott was where we wanted to build our future. Fast forward a bit, and now we're blessed with seven amazing kids who have not only been a part of our schools but have also been deeply ingrained in our vibrant community.
We had the opportunity to move back to Prescott so I could continue my accounting career at a local construction company. My husband ventured into real estate and we have grown a thriving business over the last 22 years. My career has been diverse and fulfilling as I've had the opportunity to enhance the lives of those around me.
Education has always been a cornerstone of my life. Growing up, its value was instilled in me, and I've carried that torch, ensuring my children receive a strong educational foundation. This commitment led me to volunteer in our schools and co-found the PUSD Education Foundation.
As moms in our community, we recognized the need for additional support for our dedicated teachers and schools, and the idea of the Foundation was born. I was blessed to serve on the Board of the foundation for 6 years and am so very thrilled about the impact it continues to make in our community.
Now, I'm excited to take the next step in my journey as a Governing Board Member. With an intimate understanding of our schools' needs, a deep-rooted connection to our community, and a solid grasp of school finance, I'm eager to contribute to building a stronger, more vibrant educational system for all our children. Together, let's ensure Prescott remains the wonderful place we all call home.
