ESSER III Implantation and Mitigation Strategies

Prescott Unified School District’s Implantation and Mitigation Strategies and Evidence-based Interventions Compliance for the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III Fund

Under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) III, our district is receiving funds to support safe reopening, sustain the safe operation of schools, and address the impact of COVID-19 for our students through a variety of methods.

ARP Act ESSER III funds are used to implement prevention and mitigation strategies that are, to the greatest extent practicable, consistent with the most recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance on reopening schools.  A portion of the funds is also specifically dedicated to support and address the academic and social well-being needs our most vulnerable students have due to the  impact of the pandemic through the implementation of evidence-based interventions, additional learning time, and other academic and social emotional support.

Through ongoing consultation with stakeholders through the opportunity for public comment, PUSD will continue to engage in the development and implementation of the Safe Return to Instruction Plan. In addition, with the support, consultation and collaboration of students, families, school and district administrators (including special education administrators), teachers, and school staff via email, social media, video updates, and public board meetings, PUSD will use its ARP Act ESSER III funds to ultimately continue to support the needs of our students and school communities.
