School-Wide Rules


Follow the teachers’ directions the first time
Raise your hand and wait to speak
Show respect to adults and fellow students at all times
Do not talk in line or in the hallways
No gum or candy in the building
Be on time to class everyday
No profane language or gestures

arrow General Playground Rules
Please Don’t:

  1. throw any objects other than balls

  2. play on the ramp or around the restrooms

  3. play with or throw “itchy balls” (from the trees)

  4. trip or shove anyone

  5. leave the playground without permission

  6. over inflate the playground balls

Primary Playground

  1. Open to K-3 only, before school

  2. No balls allowed in this area

  3. Gravel should never be thrown or kicked

  4. One person at a time on the top platform of the slide

  5. Slide down on your bottom only

  6. Don’t climb on the top of the “hamburgers”

  7. Take turns on the horizontal bars

  8. Do not sit on top of, or play chicken fights on the horizontal ladders

  9. Don’t push anyone off any of the apparatus

  10. 4th, 5th & 6th   graders are only allowed in this area from 12:00 to 12:30 during the lunch recess

West Playground

  1. No soccer or football team games allowed in this area

  2. Kickball can be played under the direction of the playground supervisor

  3. Don’t kick balls against the building

  4. Watch for adults and small children walking across the area – be polite

Front Playground

  1. Catch games only in this area

  2. Play half court basketball only

  3. No climbing or swinging on the trees

  4. Benches are for sitting only

  5. Do not play on the front sidewalk

  6. Don’t swing or play on the pipe fence

  7. Do not play or walk on the planters or window wells

  8. The volleyball court is available for volleyball under the direction of the playground supervisor

  9. Do not hang on the volleyball poles or net

  10. Don’t run through the 4-square area when others are playing

Grass Field

  1. No tackle football, no tripping or shoving

  2. Don’t kick balls over the fence or climb on the fence

  3. This area is for team football and soccer games

Cafeteria Rules

  1. Students should stand quietly in line while entering the cafeteria or waiting to be served.

  2. Students should use respectful behavior, use proper table manners and quiet voices.

  3. Students should remain seated.

  4. Students need to clean up their eating area before being excused.

  5. Students  must raise their hand and be excused by a cafeteria supervisor before leaving the cafeteria and will be encouraged to finish their meal.

     

arrow Things to Leave at Home

Students should not bring dangerous or distracting items, such as weapons of any type, expensive toys, makeup or sports equipment.

All personal property brought to school is the responsibility of the student.

If it is necessary for money to be sent for school purposes, parents should realize the responsibility the child will have.  It would be wise to:

-Place the money in an envelope.
-Include a note inside, stating reasons for the money being sent.
-Place teacher’s name and child’s name on outside of the envelope.
