AIMS Testing
Each year in April, students in 2nd grade are given the Terra Nova standardized test. During the same week, students in 3rd-5th grade are given the Arizona Instrument for Measuring Standards (AIMS). Parents are asked to help us during the testing week by doing the following:
*Making sure your child gets a good night's rest and a healthy breakfast each day of the week.
*Minimizing phone calls to school. During testing, the classrooms will not be disturbed unless it is an emergency.
*Making sure students arrive to school ON TIME.
*Not pressuring your child about the test...be supportive and calm. Children do their best work when relaxed and confident.
Your cooperation in these matters are greatly appreciated and help ensure that our students have a positive testing experience.
