Classroom ExpectationsStudents are
expected to arrive on time and prepared for class. Being prepared includes having homework and all required
materials for the class. In the
classroom students are expected to be respectful and responsible at all
times. Classroom
expectations follow the 6 pillars of character counts: Be Respectful Be Responsible Be Fair Be Trustworthy Be A Good Citizen Be Caring ConsequencesIn the event that
students do not follow the classroom expectations, the following steps will
be implemented. 1. Warning 2. Time out of the classroom 3.
Detention 4.
Parent Contact 5. Referral Late work policy
Students can turn
in missing assignments any time before we take the chapter test. However, the late work policy is as
follows:
Redo Assignments Students can redo
any assignment regardless of the grade received, but must be turned in before
we take the chapter test. Work will
be graded, and the higher of the two scores will be entered into the
gradebook. Notebooks
Each student is expected to keep separate math and science notebooks. These notebooks contain all notes taken, assignments, and hand-outs. The notebooks will be graded at the end of each quarter, and are worth 100 points toward the final quarter grade. Tardies
Students are expected to be on time and prepared for class. If students are late or do not have the required materials for class they will be marked tardy. Four tardies will result in a teacher-assigned detention. Consistent tardiness will require a referral. |
