School Labels
(Released annually in October by the Arizona Dept. of Education.)
Under current No Child Left Behind guidelines, schools are annually rated under the AZ Learns Act. The five rating labels, or "Achievement Profiles" are:
Excelling
The school has shown optimal performance
Highly Performing
Exceeding Arizona state proficiency expectations
Performing Plus
Above Arizona state proficiency expectations, but did not meet criteria for percentage of students in the "Exceeds" the standards category
Performing
Meeting Arizona state proficiency expectations
Underperforming
Needing improvement in proficiency
Failing
3 ratings of "underperforming" have been received by the school in three consecutive years

Miller Valley Elem. - PERFORMING PLUS
Taylor Hicks Elem. - EXCELLING
Washington Traditional - EXCELLING
Granite Mountain Middle - EXCELLING
Mile High Middle - HIGHLY PERFORMING
Prescott High School - EXCELLING
Northpoint Expeditionary Learning Academy - (not labeled because the AIMS test is not given in 9th grade)
