Library : Policies

The PHS library is open from 7:00am until 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please check the school calendar for holiday and in-service dates. Visitors are always welcome in the library. PUSD School Board policy requires, however, that all non-students report to the school administration office before visiting any area of the school.

Students may borrow up to 11 books and 6 periodicals from the library if they present a valid school I.D. card at the time of check-out. Community members may place an electronic hold on any circulating book at any of the 173 YLN terminals located within Yavapai County, Arizona.

All borrowers from the library are financially responsible for lost or damaged items. Nonfiction and fiction books may be borrowed for a period of 3 weeks. Reference materials are circulated for one hour during the day and may be checked out from the library for overnight use after period six. Audiovisual materials (such as videotapes, slides and filmstrips) can be checked out from the library for a period of 3 days.

Fines:
Non-fiction and Fiction - 10 cents per book/periodical per school day
Reference Material - 25 cents per book, per school day

Students are financially responsible for any lost or damaged item borrowed from the library.
