Graduation


GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
A total of 22 units are needed to graduate, with 17 credits to become a senior, 12 credits to become a junior, and 6 credits to become a sophomore. For the purpose of AIMS testing, the grade status is determined by the year of entry in school (cohort year).

Students are encouraged to take additional credits for enrichment, a broader background, and post high school preparation. A student must have attended for one full semester during the senior year and meet all other requirements for graduation from PHS.

Participation in the commencement ceremony is a privilege. Students who choose to participate must submit a completed commencement packet.

If all requirements are not met, the student IS NOT eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony.

Fine Arts or Career and Technical Education - 1 credit
Keyboarding or Comp App (Class of 2008) - .5 credit
Computer Applications (Class of 2009, 2010, 2011) - .5 credit
Electives sufficient to earn 22 credits
TOTAL - 22 CREDITS

24 Credits are required for Graduate with Distinction Honors
