| This class is an introduction to the field of visual arts. Students with no prior art exposure or limited exposure will experience success in Art 1-2. Emphasis is on the study of basic art concepts, including the elements of art and the principles of design, art history, and aesthetics. Emphasis is on the studio or creative aspect. Students will be given the opportunity to explore the use of many different mediums and use of technology in the art room. Student art will be exhibited in the art gallery at PHS and around the community. A weekly sketchbook is required. | |
