Attendance
Arriving Late
Students arriving late to school must check in at the office and receive a tardy slip before reporting to class. If arrival will be after 8:45 a.m., and your child plans to eat a hot lunch, you must call the school to let us know. We must call in our lunch count to the kitchen by 8:45 a.m.
Tardies
Students who are chronically tardy may be required to make up lost time during their recesses.
Leaving Early
Students who leave school before regular dismissal time must be checked out through the office by a parent. If someone other than a parent is picking up the child, parents should provide written notice to the school.
Occasionally, parents must take students to see the doctor or dentist during school hours. Please try to arrange appointments in the afternoon, since in most cases, the important basic skills subjects are being taught in the morning.
Staying After School
Unless students are staying after school for a recognized school activity, they are expected to go directly home or wait in the designated area for their bus. There will be no supervision on the playground after 2:45 p.m.
