3. Return your processed fingerprint card and your completed PUSD Volunteer Packet to the Mile High attendance office. Include a check for $20 to cover the expense of your background check. There are scholarships available.

4. It will take approximately four weeks to process your packet and to do a background check. You will be contacted from Mile High when that process has been completed.

5. Contact Cathy Righter at Mile High, 928-717-3241, to make an appointment for a Volunteer Orientation and a Placement Interview.

1. Pick up and complete the PUSD Volunteer Packet from the Mile High Attendance Office. If you are a parent of a PUSD student, you will only need to fill out a few papers but do not have to be processed for a background check.

2. Go to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (255 E. Gurley St., 928-771-3260) on a Tuesday or a Thursday from 1-4 PM to get fingerprinted. You will need the following to complete that process: a) Your completed fingerprint card that you received in your PUSD Volunteer Packet; and b) A photo I.D.  Make sure they know you are volunteering with PUSD so they do not charge you a fee.
