Washington Traditional School

928-717-3281
Harold Tenney, Principal
The kindergarten program of Washington, a school of choice, is unique in its highly academic structure. The keystone is the Spalding Language Arts system, which integrates an intensive phonics approach with reading, penmanship, composition, and spelling. Our take-home reading program and two first grade literature collections are the foundation of reading instruction. In addition, daily use of the computer lab, daily homework, memorization, and recitation in three performances during the year are all facets of the traditional school kindergarten.
