In Consideration of: Approving Geneva Saint-Amour as Director of Northpoint Expeditionary Learning Academy for the 2006-2007 school year.

Relevant Information:

A selection committee composed of the superintendent, the Expeditionary Learning high school design consultant, the regional director of Expeditionary Learning, a parent from the Prescott High School Site Council, and both Prescott High School teachers who have already been selected to teach at Northpoint Expeditionary Learning Academy reviewed the many applications received for the position of Director. A total of seven applicants were interviewed for this position and extensive

background and reference checking were conducted on applicants being seriously considered for the position.

 

Geneva Saint-Amour has been selected for recommendation to the Governing Board as the Director of Northpoint Expeditionary Learning Academy opening its doors to 100 9th grade students on August 7, 2006. Ms. Saint-Amour is currently in her 4th year as the administrator/principal of the Bouse School District, a small school district near the California border near Parker, Arizona. Ms. Saint-Amour has previously taught at Camp Verde High School and also has educational leadership experience in Costa Rica and Mexico. The committee is proud to recommend Geneva Saint-Amour to the Governing Board as the Director of Northpoint Expeditionary Learning Academy.
