INFORMATION ITEMS

 

16.  Ms. Raskin has prepared the School Board Summary Budget Report for your review.  (Please refer to Enclosure #9.)

 

17.  Enclosed for your review are the minutes from the October 13, 2000, Employee Benefit Trust (EBT) meeting.  (Please refer to Enclosure #10.)

 

18.  The Personnel Department has received the annual request from the Department of Education for the statement of assurance and verification of the Teacher Evaluation System for Prescott Unified School District.  The statement of assurance is required every year in compliance with A.R.S. 15-527 and A.R.S. 15-952 in order to receive Prop 101 monies.  Governing Board President is required to sign this document. (Please refer to Enclosure #11.)

 

19.  The Personnel Department staff recently returned from the annual statewide Fall Conference of the Arizona State Personnel Administrator’s Association (ASPAA), held this year in Sedona, Arizona.  The 3-day conference is an annual event for the purpose of updating personnel people on recent changes in law as it relates to employment, certification updates from the State Department of Education, roundtable discussions, plus numerous breakout sessions on different topics of interest.

 

20.  The Business Office has been awarded the Certificate of Excellence for outstanding achievements in financial reporting for school districts for the school year ending June 1999.  The International Association of School Business Officials presents this award to School Districts that have met the highest standards for financial reporting.
