No Pass, No Play
Extracurricular activities are all interscholastic activities operating under the guidelines/rules or procedures established by the Arizona Interscholastic Association and other school sponsored activities in which students represent the school in competition or participation for which no credit is earned. This includes, but is not limited to, Student Council, band trips, and TSA.
Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students participating on athletics teams or in special activities must pass all classes on the last or previous grading period. Students who do not pass all their courses may not participate.
- The requirements apply to grades 6-12.
- Student academic performance will be checked and students declared ineligible at the conclusion of each 9-week grading period.
- To be eligible to participate in extracurricular activities, students need to earn a passing grade in all subjects. First and third quarter grades will determine eligibility for the second and fourth quarters. Semester grades will determine eligibility for the third quarter in the following year.
- Students who have been declared ineligible at the conclusion of a grading period shall be ineligible for the next 9-weeks' grading period. A letter will be sent home notifying parents.
- Students who become ineligible at the end of any grading period are permitted to participate only in practice sessions or regular meetings.
