Homework supports the teaching units of the classroom and assists with reading guidance. Students are strongly encouraged to complete and turn in homework on time. By doing this, they will be able to maintain their grade point average as well as learn an important life-long lesson. Please expect an average of 45 minutes of homework per night.

GMMS Late Work Policy: Homework not turned in on time will be given 75% credit up to one day late. Beyond one day late is up to the individual teacher. Many teachers at GMMS will not accept for credit anything beyond one day.

Homework When Absent: Students absent because of illness will have days equal to the number absent, without penalty, to complete missed assignments. If worksheets are required to complete homework, you may e-mail the specific teacher from whom they are needed, or leave a voice mail message by phone. Teachers are allotted 24 hours to provide the required worksheets; therefore, if a student will be back in school within that time, worksheets may be obtained upon return.
