In alignment with Prescott Unified School District’s (PUSD) vision of confident students prepared for tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities, the Family Resource Center has been created. Any PUSD student or family needing assistance is welcome at the Family Resource Center.
The staff of the Family Resource Center believes that students will perform better in the classroom if their basic needs outside the classroom have been met. In order to support this belief, the following are supplied at no cost to students K-12 enrolled in PUSD schools, based on the Family Resource Center supply.
- School clothing and shoes
- Hygiene products
- School supplies
The Family Resource Center is a hub for information on community service providers, events, and support groups. Trained volunteers will help you find the right community provider to meet your needs.
In addition, the PUSD community resource guide is available as a PDF on the Homeless Program page. If you are living in temporary housing, or are without housing, information is available on the Homeless Program page on how to receive additional assistance through PUSD. Additional resource information is available at the bottom of this page.
The Family Resource Center has a space for workshops, support groups, and parent meetings. The space will be available by appointment for these meetings. To discuss using the FRC community space, or to host a workshop, contact Jennifer Harte.
Support the Family Resource Center
The Family Resource Center could not function without the generous contributions of the local community. Both in-kind and financial donations are always appreciated. Financial contributions can be made to “Prescott Unified School District,” with a specification for use by the Family Resource Center.
In-kind contributions of hygiene products, school supplies, new clothing, shoes, and gift cards can be donated to the Family Resource Center. For more information on supporting the Family Resource Center, contact Jennifer Harte.
The Family Resource Center will be primarily staffed by volunteers. Below are listed some of the areas where volunteers are sought. If you are interested in volunteering with the Family Resource Center, contact Jennifer Harte. If you are interested in volunteer positions throughout PUSD beyond the Family Resource Center, visit the Volunteer Programs page.

Local nonprofit and community service providers are welcome to bring resource brochures and flyers to the Family Resource Center for our guests to access. You may also contact the Center’s coordinator to discuss your services.
