The purposes of homework are to review material learned in class, to research using outside sources, and to include parents or others in projects. When assigning homework, the school recognizes that there are many other activities in which students and families are involved. Homework should not require too
much time or cause frustration to the family. In general the amount of time parents can expect for homework is:

Kindergarten- 15 minutes per week
Grade 1-2- 20 minutes per day
Grade 3 30 minutes per day
Grade 4-5 30-45 minutes per day
