HOME/SCHOOL CONNECTIONS
Open communication and cooperation between parents and teachers is extremely important to success in school. Parents are encouraged to call the teacher and/or come in for a conference whenever you have a question or concern.
Although we do have scheduled conferences one time per year at the end of the first quarter, teachers may also need to have a conference with parents when there are academic or behavioral concerns.
Each Tuesday the school newsletter, The Abia Judd Jaguar Journal, is sent home with all students. The Journal will keep parents informed of school events.
Teachers also have the opportunity to include classroom events in the newsletter and many classes have their own newsletters.
Shortly after school begins, we have grade night meetings in which parents are invited to meet the teachers, find out more about the expectations in the classroom, and ask questions about the curriculum.
All our teachers have email addresses and check their mail regularly. We encourage parents to use email as a reliable form of communication.
