WEDNESDAY CHILD CARE
Kids & Company, PUSD’s childcare program, will be available on Wednesdays at the earlier dismissal time. Parents may utilize Kids & Co on a “drop in” basis for $6/day or utilize the program every Wednesday for $15/month. Adjusted Dismissal

The 2008-09 school year will have an Adjusted Dismissal every Wednesday. The following are start and dismissal times for PUSD schools for 2008-09, including the new dismissal times for each Wednesday:
Discovery Gardens Preschool – Morning start time of 9:00 AM, with dismissal at 11:30 AM, Monday – Thursday. Afternoon start time of 1:00 PM, with dismissal at 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Wednesday schedule is the same as other days.
Elementary Schools – Start time of 8:30 AM, with dismissal at 2:45 PM. Wednesday dismissal at 2:15 PM.
Middle Schools – Start time of 8:05 AM, with dismissal at 3:10 PM. Wednesday dismissal at 1:05 PM.
Prescott High School – Start time of 8:05 AM, with dismissal at 3:09 PM. Wednesday dismissal at 1:10 PM.
Northpoint Academy – Start time of 8:10 AM, with dismissal at 3:10 PM. Wednesday dismissal at 1:10 PM.
The Adjusted Dismissal on Wednesdays will give teachers and staff the opportunity for ongoing, sustained and job-imbedded professional development designed to improve teaching and learning for all students in PUSD. Ongoing and sustained professional development is mandated by the federal No Child Left Behind Act and the state’s AZ Learns Program. More important, professional development assists our teachers, administrators and staff in identifying students’ academic needs and designing strategies that help all students learn and achieve to their highest potential.
